# Scaffold Builders Discover real web UI references, inspect desktop/mobile previews, and download revision-pinned evidence for implementation. - [Agent guide](https://scaffold.builders/agents/): scb CLI, public HTTP API, reference selection, and personal folder access. - [Catalogue](https://scaffold.builders/): Browse and select references visually. Public search, inspection, reference downloads, and public folders need no token. Personal folders use a PAT supplied through SCAFFOLD_BUILDERS_TOKEN. Search first, inspect images, then download selected ID@REVISION references. There is no MCP endpoint. ## Start with the public HTTP API The scb 0.5.0 CLI release is in preparation. Outside this repository, use the HTTP API directly; no installation is required. ```sh curl -fsSG 'https://scaffold.builders/v1/search' --data-urlencode 'q=minimal store' --data-urlencode 'limit=8' curl -fsS 'https://scaffold.builders/v1/layouts/ID?revision=REVISION' curl -fsS 'https://scaffold.builders/v1/layouts/ID/reference?revision=REVISION' ``` Use each search result's `id` and `revision` for ID and REVISION. Results are in `layouts`; `viewportAssets.desktop.previewUrl` and `viewportAssets.mobile.previewUrl` link to images. Resolve relative links against https://scaffold.builders. Python's default `Python-urllib` User-Agent can receive HTTP 403 on public reads. Send an identifying User-Agent for your client, such as `ScaffoldBuildersReferenceClient/1.0`, when using Python. Search for several candidates and inspect their desktop/mobile images before recommending. When `agentReadiness.ready` is false, read `agentReadiness.reasons` and report capture limitations; it does not mean the site is irrelevant. Keep the selected revision when fetching reference data.
